Introduction

Why are some people happy and confident whereas some fail to even smile through the day or do any pleasant conversation or for that matter do anything effectively? What makes some people more successful than others? It is the habits that change and improve life.

Our beloved Ratan Tata never skips walking with his dog first thing in the morning. Bollywood celebrity Akshay Kumar makes it a point to get up early and see the sun rising. Exercising

Even if you have worldly riches but not the basics of health the money you earn is of no use. What is being Healthy? State of complete physical, mental, and social well-being. Being healthy should be sustainable or else it is difficult to maintain it. What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear someone is healthy? You think of being physically strong and disease-free.

So physical activity is the core of being healthy. Today when we have everything from food to apparel delivered to our doorstep the state of being physically active as compared to our grandfathers is quite less. That is the reason today there are more lifestyle diseases like diabetes, BP, etc. So the most important thing to do at the least is exercising.

It can be as simple as walking to as extensive as Pilates. Start to move your body so that each and every cell of the body is burning out calories and giving you energy. Start with a basic Meditation that not only calms the mind but also gives clarity of thought. Simple asanas like Tadasana, Surya namaskar, bhujagasana, can give a lot of energy to do more. Strengthening the core muscles and increasing flexibility.

Doing it in a park or in the gym will take care of the social aspect since you get to have buddy motivation available to hit the gym/park every day. This habit would surely improve your physical attributes.

Eating Right

Eating the right kind of food like fresh veggies, fruits, millet, etc will not only give an ample amount of energy but also the right kind of attitude. Whereas food that is heavy, cheesy, and spicy will only make you lethargic.

So include a lot of fruits and green veggies in your daily diet. Skip that bread and pizza and add some green salad, sprouts bhel, and millet roti to your diet. Homemade simple food is a luxury for most individuals today. So utilize it when you have it.

Try eating your dinner before 7 p.m. and see the magic it does on your sugar levels. Not only does it regulate it but also the extra energy that it gives in the morning. This is just because your body has got time to do the maintenance activity which is otherwise only busy digesting your food. This habit will improve your overall health for sure.

Hobby

Make sure you keep some time daily for your hobby or something that you like to do. It can be reading, painting, singing, dancing, or just scrolling the phone. Very few lucky people can earn money from their passions or what they love to do.

So what if you are not able to earn anything don’t let that passion fade away. If not money it will make you happy and look up to something every day. This habit will improve your state of mind for sure.

Reading

It is not something that everyone enjoys but trust me once you start reading will never stop it. Start with a basic fiction book and slowly add new ones to your kitty but make sure you finish the first one before you start the second. It not only gives your mind a canvas to see a different world, but it also improves language skills. You don’t realize how many new words you learn when you are reading. And next time when you see a new word check dictionary for its meaning. Make sure to use that new word somewhere in your conversation immediately so that it stays in your memory forever.

Talk

Communication is such a powerful tool that can turn a dull relationship into an exciting one, a foe to a friend and the list goes on. It has the power to change the perception that you had of someone, about something. Our mind plays games with us and it carries certain perceptions, and beliefs about things. Communication is the only thing that can change it. What is better than a cup of coffee with someone you love to talk your heart out?

So next time your motivation goes down try to get into your workout shoes, read a nice book, check your diet, pick up that guitar you ignored for a while, or just talk your heart out to someone you love.
