

Why is losing weight so difficult for some and very easy for others? Either your strategy is incorrect or you are not consistent in your efforts. I never had any weight issues even after having a baby. So will share with you how to lose weight the right way.
People today are so impatient that they buy everything that claims to aid weight loss. Firstly we should understand that losing weight is not a one-time thing. It is a process that ultimately results in weight loss. Each individual has a different body type, weight height. Keeping this in mind you should start to plan.
Why losing weight should be planned?
For example, if you are choosing a diet or plan that is not specific to your body type you immediately notice it with low stamina, strong cravings, dullness, and stress.
Though I am not a doctor or any kind of expert in this field, we have access to so many resources online that we don’t need to be one. Here are a few things that I follow

Water does help in losing weight. How? Just add a dash of lemon to it.
Most of the time we misunderstand hunger for thirst. Drink water 15-20 minutes before your meals and you will automatically eat less. Drinking adequate water is important. Do not go with the hype that says to drink 8-10 glasses of water. You will spend more time in the washroom if your body doesn’t need it.
- How mindful eating will help in losing weight


You don’t need to remove food items from your meals. It increases the cravings all the more.
Instead, go ahead and eat that pastry/pizza if you are craving it.
It is all about making the right food choices. If your choices are wrong then there is no way you can achieve your goal. So make some healthy choices in your everyday meals and you will see its benefit.
What are a few changes that you can accommodate in your day-to-day meals:
-Eat Millets(locally available) instead of refined or wheat.
-Have Organic unpolished rice instead of polished white rice.
-Replace sugar with jaggery, coconut jaggery
-Make homemade juice instead of outside sugary sodas
-Eat a homemade meal instead of processed and packaged food
-Meal planning in advance would remove the chances of eating out.
-Read the ingredients before buying. It will show you the calories that you will add.
-Portion control and choosing a smaller plate for meals would work very well.

We cannot talk enough about the benefits of exercising. You can start with simple cardio workouts like walking, running, cycling, etc. If you can do some weight lifting (of course under expert guidance) then it will add to your advantage. Weight loss exercises and yoga can help in achieving the results faster.

- Chuck the sugar to lose weight
Removing or controlling the sugar in the diet helps in losing weight faster.
In Western countries, more than half of the population suffers from obesity. Why?
Because they consume a lot of packed, processed food items loaded with sugar and refined carbs.
Not only does it have a lot of calories but it also has a lot of preservatives to increase the shelf life of the food item.
Always prefer locally produced organic fruits and vegetables over packaged food.
- Keep stress Away
Why despite doing all of this you still don’t seem to lose weight. Stress is the answer.
Overthinking increases the stress hormone in the body making it difficult to get deep sleep at night.

- Benefits of Intermittent fasting in losing weight
I am sure you have heard of this term quite a lot these days and yes it works for most people.
Intermittent fasting is nothing but not eating for 16 hours and eating in the 8-hour window. People follow different time windows though.
You can start with 12 hrs of not eating gradually increasing to 14 hr and then 16hrs.
It will not show results immediately( since the body will lose the water weight first and then start using the fats stored in the body for energy). But even if you are fasting twice a week it will show results over 2-3 months.
Eating for a smaller window should not mean eating anything and everything. Remember how important is food choices.

- Stop snacking
Snacking results in adding calories in turn resulting in imbalanced sugar levels.
If you want to get your sugar levels to normal try not having snacks or what we call mid meals.
Don’t run behind the ads that say Lose weight in 10 days, Lose weight fast, weight loss medicine, etc. You will lose your money and time rather than lose weight. Losing weight is easy and can be achieved at home more healthily and sustainably. By Just knowing the body and making the right choices.
